Delete Bullying
The University of Alberta’s Office of Safe Disclosure & Human Rights is launching its Delete Bullying campaign to generate awareness and educate those on campus to understand what workplace and classroom bullying are, what cyberbullying is, and how to take a preventative approach to reduce instances of bullying on campus.
What is Bullying?
Bullying is a form of aggression that may include physical, verbal, or emotional abuse. Bullying poisons the living, working or studying environment of the person it targets. It can include persistent, offensive, abusive, intimidating or insulting behaviour, abuse of power, and/or unfair punitive sanctions which make the individual feel threatened, humiliated, and/or vulnerable. It is not usually fleeting in nature.
Bullying and cyberbullying are both serious issues on campus and in the community.

The University of Alberta’s Office of Safe Disclosure & Human Rights is holding a series of Speaker Sessions throughout the academic year. All staff and students are encouraged to attend to learn more about bullying on campus.
How can you help?
Bullying behaviours may be warning signs of an individual at risk of harming others. Also, an individual who is being bullied may become at risk of harming him/herself. Paying attention to warning signs should help us identify bullies and victims, and early identification then allows us to intervene before a situation escalates.
Take note of individuals displaying At Risk Behaviour – words or conduct that give rise to a reasonable apprehension that an individual may be at risk of harming themselves or others in the future.
If you notice any of these At Risk Behaviours, please contact:
